Our Fabrics

Crisp is a lightweight cotton fabric with alternating crinkled and smooth vertical stripes that never needs ironing. Its name comes from the Persian phrase shir-o-shakhar, meaning “milk and sugar” for the alternating textures. The textile is made of cotton woven on a loom with threads at different tensions. The fabric feels soft and crispy and makes a freshly bed at all times. Being breathable, it is perfect for year-round use.

100% seersucker cotton. Thread count: 154 TC.

Made in Turkey. The factory has the following certificates: BSCI member and OEKO TEX STANDARD 100.

Tencel vs Silk

Tencel™ is a sustainable fabric, known for its ultimate softness, breathability and moisture-wicking properties. It is more durable and easier to care for than silk. Silk production kills many insects, like silkworms, year by year, while Tencel™ is made of wood pulp; a huge difference in environmental impact. The process of Tencel™ is a "closed-loop" process, meaning that 99% of the chemicals and solvents used in the process are kept in the process and recycled. The whole process is so low in emissions and pollutants that it’s been recognised with the European Award for the Environment.

Our Smoothy bedding is made of sateen cotton which is drapey, smooth and delicate. Sateen is made from the mercerized fibers of any cotton plant, and woven in a satin weave, meaning multiple threads of the same direction dominate either surface.

100% certified organic cotton sateen. Thread count: 300 TC.
